Casey County High School hosted a College and Career Fair this past Friday, with students from all grade levels having the chance to attend.
Students had the opportunity to engage with the presenters from approximately 50 colleges, universities and workplaces, as well as ask questions to help in making decisions regarding their future.
Presenter Eric Overby, who was representing Somerset Community College’s Surgical Technology program, noted that the fair was a “fantastic experience.”
“The students were engaged and respectful, the faculty was welcoming and the whole event had the kind of energy that makes you feel optimistic about the future,” he said. “If the curiosity and enthusiasm I saw are any indication, I have no doubt some of these students will go on to do incredible things in healthcare.”
CCHS will host another college and career fair in April after school. The Casey Compass will release more details about this event as they become available.
