“I want each of us girls to live like Jesus!”
Senior Karmen Cundiff shared her heartfelt goal with a new Bible study group she started that is open to all girls of CCHS. The group meets in the library Tuesday mornings at 7:30 A.M.
Cundiff said she was inspired to start the study because she understands the weight many teenage girls carry in today’s world.
“Young girls often find themselves weighed down by confusion, insecurity, sin, shame—and desperately searching for freedom,” she explained. “We live in a world where we all need Jesus.”

When deciding to kick-off this new chapter in her school, Cundiff admitted that the ‘What ifs’” had crossed her mind often.
“But the more I prayed, the more I realized God doesn’t call us to be perfect leaders – just willing ones.” she said.
Her willingness turned into something more powerful. Cundiff expressed that she loves hearing from the girls who attend the study,“When the girls speak up in discussion, I almost always learn something from their eagerness & wisdom.”
She opened up about the fruitfulness she has seen in her life as well.
“Studying Scripture has encouraged me to dive into God’s Word more deeply & the Lord has taught me so much through that process! Even if it feels small sometimes, God is doing something bigger behind the scenes.” Cundiff shared.
Cundiff hopes to create a new community where girls at CCHS can build confidence in both their faith and their school life. This group will show them that it’s okay not to have all the answers in order to make a positive impact on others.
A supportive circle that holds them accountable can have a beautiful outcome.
“What they need is someone who shows up consistently, genuinely cares, and points them to Jesus, not to themselves”.
